Diamonds!

 

Most of us have heard about diamonds, the newest form of Animal Jam currency. With diamonds, you can purchase items that are usually quite rare. You can also get new dens (for members) and pets that were once part of the monthly member gift that AJHQ sends you. You can get cool music, including some Adventure tunes, and trade diamonds for gems. Member animals such as Arctic Wolves, Lions and Snow Leopards are also available for 10 diamonds each. Basically, you can use your diamonds to buy rare items and also things that you would usually have to buy with real money, like the Arctic Wolf. Pretty handy right?

Some would disagree. Many people think that things were better without diamonds. This is especially the case with non members, because diamonds are really hard to get for them. If you are non member, you can only get them through the Daily Spin, and I have never gotten a diamond from that, whereas members only have to wait a week to get a diamond.

There's only one diamond code that I kinow of, and that is twelve, and I don'[t even know if it works anymore.

Diamonds have also made rare items not-so rare anymore. How so? Well, in the Diamond Shop, you can buy Giant Lion Plushies for 1 diamond each. So what? Well, before diamonds, it was really hard to get your paws on a Giant Lion Plushie because they were once rare. Someone could easily say that they have all of the rare Giant Lion Plushies, but they actually only have the diamond ones. Take a look.

 

(Apart from the colour) the only different between these two Giant Lion Plushies is that one is rare and the other is not. This takes value away from having a Rare Giant Lion Plushie because now everyone can get a Giant Lion Plushie.

 

On the flip side, others think that the items bought in the Diamond Shop are good ideas for people who can't get rares. Personally, I am don't like them. But what do you guys think? Are diamonds a good idea or a bad one? Not that it would change anything of course.
